Tonight Therapy-Guru and I worked on me being more aware and present in the body. And what I notice most afterwards? My left, cellulitis infected leg really fucking hurts. This is a bit of a news flash, as it wasn’t really bothering me before…. which is part of the reason we didn’t get to the doctor until it was really, really bad. Not feeling pain sounds like a good thing, but its a mixed bag, I guess.

Anyway, nothing too deep in therapy tonight, which is fine, since it there will be no Therapy Guru time next week, due to stuff on his end. So, week off, huzzah!

I’m going to have to re-examine what it means to be a protector, given that I tend to ignore how hurt or ill we really are physically T.G. called me out on that. I admit, I’m one of the ones that drives the body-car, but doesn’t worry about oil changes, tire rotations, etc. <laugh> That needs to change, as I need to do my part of taking care of us physically. Part of that is just being aware of how things are going physically.

Another part of self (selves?)-care is trying to be better at having a regular sleep schedule. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…. yeah, I’ve never had a regular sleep schedule. We’re starting small, and have agreed as a system to try to be in bed between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. every morning. We missed that goal twice in the last week, once was my fault. Our sleep is all over the place.

Ouch, my leg really hurts. I can see why I blocked that signal out. AFAIK, the only one who really deals with pain is Sharon. Don’t know what she did to deserve that one. <laugh>

Self-care does not come naturally to me, this is going to be a challenge.

Nothing much else to say tonight.
