It’s been awhile since I’ve made a blog entry, so I thought I’d pop in here and say that I’m still alive and kicking. I started back to work part time (20 hours a week) today, and am jazzed about being back at work. The hard part is going to be not overdoing it. But, considering I fell asleep in the one meeting I dialed into this morning, that may not be that big of a challenge. To be fair, I was under the influence of my second COVID shot.

Yes, I’ve gotten both COVID shots now! The 2nd Moderna reaction was way stronger – I had the same headache, but additional fatigue, chills, etc. I’m feeling better tonight, but it was a lot like having a low grade flu for a couple of days. Still, it’s sooooo worth it.

I made a doctor’s appointment for the 17th to discuss returning to Physical Therapy, and have another doctor’s appointment on the 18th to discuss the results of my sleep study. Both are Zoom appointments, thankfully. So, expect more news from the health front in a couple of weeks.

Next week I also start working with my new therapist. I met him on Zoom for the first time this week for an intro session, but we didn’t get into much… he’s an interesting fellow. I guess he studied as a Buddhist monk for several years, and is big into mindfulness, we’ll see how that goes.

I haven’t gotten rid of my old therapist, but she’s out of commission for a little while after having heart surgery. So, the new guy is a fill in for now. I may run them both in parallel once she’s back online – I haven’t decided yet. She’s more a talk therapist, this new guy seems to be more into meditation/bodywork – I think they may compliment each other. Sadly insurance will only pay for one of them at a time, but I’m willing to invest a little in my health to have the best of both worlds.

And that’s about all the news that’s fit to print. 😉

Oh yeah, I’ve nervously hoping to stay employed through the 17th, because a huge chunk o’ stock vests for me on that date. Selling it will go a long way into getting me out of debt. There are no signs I’m about to be fired, of course, but I have to have SOMETHING to worry about.
